The Village at 1883 studio is located in the former Old Landmark Inn in the heart of Conestogo, ON. This beautiful heritage home is surrounded by nature, rich with history and set in a peaceful atmosphere.
This landmark building has had many iterations over the years. There is so much history here, and we are unbelievably grateful to have been able to make it into the home where we now get to raise our three beautiful children. Our studio is truly an extension of our home and therefore by joining our community, you become an extension of our family.
The interior of the Studio is approximately 1300 sq ft and features a soaring vaulted ceiling with exposed trusses, complete with wrap around windows and a large window wall overlooking the Conestogo river valley, inviting exposed brick wall, and hardwood flooring. There are two large decks off each story of the studio overlooking the valley and beautiful surrounding nature.
The lower level of the studio has 3 bright and spacious offices. Two are available for long-term rental and another is a rotational / shared office. There is also a large common area and two restrooms. 1 includes a shower. This level walks out onto a large lower deck and panoramic views of all the magnificent surrounding nature.
The studio is equipped with WIFI, portable party speaker (Bluetooth), 2 restrooms (1 shower), lighting system that can be adjusted by colour, warmth, brightness, and theme… The capacity of the building is 40 people maximum.

Our charming facility features integrated heating and air conditioning, adjustable lighting, two restrooms, and a common area on the lower floor for jackets and storage.
Recycling and Garbage bins are supplied. It is asked that you take any and all waste with you after your event.

Food and drink are welcome in the Studio. Please be aware that the Studio does not have a kitchen or kitchenette, so any food served on the premises must be prepared and brought from off site. Catering is available upon request.
If you choose to serve alcohol during your event, you are required to purchase a Special Occasions Permit from the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario that must be ready and on display for the duration of your event.
Additional fees apply for cleaning if food and beverage are being served.

The Studio is yours to decorate to suit your unique needs - the use of outside or personal equipment and decor is welcome and highly encouraged! We can provide limited tables and chairs, but do not provide linens, dishware, or glassware. Studio is equipped with JBL Bluetooth party speaker, Television (Smart TV). Projector can be rented at additional costs.

We currently have 1 beautiful, bright private office spaces available for long term rental.

Private Function / Photography Rental Rates:
2hr minimum
Duration of event + 0.5hrs (actual time in studio)
If the event requires longer set up and take down - Costs will adjust accordingly based on $65 /hr in 15 min increments.
Includes use of main studio space and access to bathrooms.
If use of the deck is wanted - an additional $15 / hr for the entire duration of the event will be added.
If your event requires the use of shoes, food, or beverage an additional $60 cleaning fee will be required.

Weekdays 8am-5pm (Monday to Friday): $65/hr + HST
Weekdays 5pm-10pm (Monday to Thursday): $75/hr + HST
Weekends 5pm Friday to 10:pm Sunday $70/hr + HST
15pp + additional $15/hr
